Hello everybody, please find below my quick idea for the crochet brooch 🙂 I hope you like it!
For that brooch you will need 3 sizes of crochet hooks: 1.25, 2.5 and 2.75 (or, maybe for someone n.3 will be better and more comfortable to work with). You will need size 10 crochet thread and size 3 crochet thread. Also, you will need some beads, sewing needles and a pin for the brooch (for example, I bought some on Amazon).
The idea is – make 3 circles with different sizes: firs is with size 10 crochet thread and 1.25 crochet hook, second is with size 3 crochet thread and 2.5 crochet hook and the third one is with size 10 + size 3 crochet thread and 2.75 crochet hook.
Every circle should be made with the following pattern:
Please make a magic ring and 6 sc (single crochet) in this ring, sl st (slip stitch) in first sc.
Ch 1 (chain 1) and 2 sc in every st around, sl st in first sc. (12 sc)
Ch 1, sc in same st, 2 sc in next st, [sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] x repeat around, sl st in first sc. (18 sc)
Ch 1, sc in same and next st, 2 sc in next st, [sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st] x repeat around, sl st in first sc. (24 sc)
Ch 1, sc in same st and in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, [sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st] x repeat around, sl st in first sc. (30 sc) Fasten off. You can leave a long tail for every circle – they can be used in a tassels at the end of the process. For the smallest circle you can replace the last round with the following: ch 1, sc in same st, ch 2, [sc in next st, ch 2] x repeat around, sl st in first sc. — this can add more texture.
Then you need sew all the circles together and add bead and a brooch pin. It also a good idea to create a tassel – you can hide the tails this way 🙂
